CS2 Broadcast Setup: Full Production Configuration
A complete guide to configuring a professional CS2 broadcast with CutROOM. OBS scene management, multi-operator setup, hotkeys, and production workflow for tournament events.

Single-PC vs Multi-PC Broadcast Setup
CS2 broadcast setups fall into two categories: single-PC (the gaming and streaming PC are the same machine) and multi-PC (separate gaming, streaming, and production machines). CutROOM supports both configurations.
Single-PC Setup
CutROOM, CS2, and OBS all run on the same machine. The GSI config sends data to localhost. CutROOM renders overlays as browser sources inside OBS. This setup is ideal for solo casters and streamers. Recommended specs: Intel i7/AMD Ryzen 7 or better, 16GB RAM, dedicated GPU.
Multi-PC Setup (Tournament)
In a tournament production:
- Observing PC — Runs CS2 in spectator mode, observer operates camera
- Production PC — Runs OBS and CutROOM, operator manages overlays and scenes
- Encoding PC (optional) — Dedicated machine for stream encoding
CutROOM's Caster+ plan supports 3 simultaneous active seats — allowing independent CutROOM instances on the observer PC and production PC, both receiving GSI data from the game server.
OBS Scene Collection for CS2 Broadcast
Create a dedicated OBS scene collection for each event or tournament:
- Pre-show — Countdown timer, event logo, music
- Match intro — CutROOM Intro browser source + team presentation
- Live — CT side — Game capture + HUD + scoreboard browser sources
- Live — T side — Same as above, or unified with side-switching handled by GSI
- Half-time — CutROOM Intermission browser source
- Post-match — CutROOM Victory browser source
- Between matches — Sponsor loop screen
Hotkey Configuration
CutROOM supports global hotkeys for common production actions:
- Toggle HUD visibility (for buy phase / tactical timeouts)
- Cycle sponsor display
- Trigger round recap overlay
- Switch match data (for back-to-back matches)
Configure hotkeys in CutROOM Settings → Hotkeys. All shortcuts work globally — even when OBS is the active window.
Network Configuration for Multi-PC
In a multi-PC setup, CutROOM on the production PC needs to receive GSI data from the game PC. Set the GSI config to point to the production PC's local IP address (e.g. 192.168.1.X:PORT) instead of localhost. Ensure the firewall on the production PC allows incoming connections on the CutROOM port.
