Minimap Overlay

CS2 Minimap Overlay for Streams

A compact, live minimap overlay for CS2 broadcasts. Shows player positions, bomb location and alive count in a small, non-intrusive overlay suitable for any stream layout.

Minimap vs Full Radar

The minimap overlay is a compact version of the full radar overlay. Where the full radar takes up a significant portion of the screen and shows extended information (facing direction, grenade trajectories), the minimap is a small, clean widget that shows only the essentials: player position dots, bomb location, and alive count.

The minimap is ideal for solo streamers who do not want to obscure too much of the game screen, or for broadcast layouts where real estate is limited by other overlay elements.

Compact Overlay Design

The CutROOM minimap overlay is designed to be unobtrusive. It displays at a configurable size (default 200×200 pixels), uses semi-transparent backgrounds, and can be positioned freely in your OBS layout. Despite its small footprint, it communicates player count, bomb state, and round winner information effectively.

Live Data, Zero Lag

Like all CutROOM overlays, the minimap updates in real time from CS2 GSI data. Player positions update continuously as they move, with a refresh rate tied to GSI polling frequency (typically 128Hz). There is no perceptible lag between in-game position and minimap display.

For a fuller radar with more tactical information, see CS2 Radar Overlay.
